Okanagan Rail Trail

The Okanagan Rail Trail connecting Vernon to Lake Country is now open with the final connection to Kelowna set to open this summer. When completed, it will feature almost 50 kms of lakefront cruising on a smooth, wide path that winds along Kalamalka Lake, Wood Lake, and alongside Highway 97. It’s a dream for cyclists with a maximum 1.3% grade along the trail.

The section from Kalavida (kilometre 0) travels on the West side of Kalamalka Lake and is widely considered the most scenic portion of the trail with more than a handful of pullouts and lookouts.
