Winter Chill Paddle (each December)

The yearly get-together features a social paddle on Kal Lake followed by warm beverages. by the Rail Trail Cafe & Market. It’s a chance for stand up paddlers to meet up just before Christmas and pass along merry wishes to each other and, of course, to sneak in a short paddle on the lake. 

What is the Winter Chill Paddle?
It’s a casual paddle around the North end of the lake.  You should have some experience in paddling and dress accordingly.
What should you bring?

Your board, paddle, PFD and a leash.  If you need some gear, we will have extra stuff (boards, paddles, PFD’s and leashes).

How to dress properly?
Wetsuits and drysuits are the safest but you can also layer up with rashguards, cycling gear and anything that won’t absorb water in the unlikely event of a water landing.

Length of Paddle:  Approx 1 hour (depending on weather)
